What will you do? 

  • Monitor and manage network and system alerts across various platforms, including on-premises and cloud environments. 
  • Execute troubleshooting to resolve network incidents and performance issues. 
  • Coordinate with SOC Analysts to address complex technical challenges and ensure timely resolutions. 
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates to network devices, servers, and applications. 
  • Assist in the implementation of network solutions and contribute to ongoing infrastructure improvements. 
  • Manage and monitor backup systems to ensure data integrity and availability. 
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and security protocols. 
  • Document all activities and maintain accurate records of network operations, incidents, and backup processes. 
  • Engage in threat hunting activities to proactively identify and mitigate security threats. 
  • Respond to security incidents and perform incident response activities. 
  • Manage and execute backup and recovery processes to safeguard data and ensure business continuity. 
  • Monitor SOC ticket SLAs to ensure we meet client obligations. 
  • Perform on-call duties per Snap Tech after-hours on a rotating schedule. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a network technician or in a similar IT role. 
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools and systems management platforms. 
  • Fundamental understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc. 
  • Experience with basic troubleshooting of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls. 
  • Experience with backup solutions and maintaining backups. 
  • Experience with advanced EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) endpoint protection software. 
  • Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions. 
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and consistently meet deadlines. 
  • CompTIA Security+ or ISC2 SSCP or an equivalent, well-established security certification required. 

*Security vendor-specific certifications are a plus.
