We’re looking for a talented, motivated, and driven Sales Engineer to join our team, helping us deliver world-class service to our diverse client base, powered by cutting-edge technology you can get excited about.
Apply only if you know how to see the trends, understand the technical issues, and can translate them into business solutions that build trust and confidence.
We want people who look at a prospective client’s infrastructure and ask, how can I make it better? And then rise to the challenge when given the chance to present that solution.
We like to say we take the hard right over the easy wrong because that is how effective IT is really done.
This position is for our offices located in either Cumming, GA or Tempe, AZ and serves sales efforts in Georgia, Arizona, northern California, and nationwide.
We want candidates who:
- Possess a Curious Mindset: You ask great questions, dig deeper than the surface, and identify risks that others miss.
- Thrive on Analysis: You want the opportunity to analyze the data and bring forward the solution.
- Are Strong Communicators: You are clear, calm, and articulate under pressure, capable of explaining technical findings to business leaders in a way that builds trust.
- Bridge the Gap: You are comfortable bridging Sales → Engineering → vCIO → Security teams, ensuring a seamless transition from prospect to partner.
- Value Independence: Like independent responsibility without micro-management.
- Seek Growth: Seek to improve their skillset with an eye on future leadership opportunities.
What will you do?
- Perform Full IT Discoveries and Cybersecurity Risk Assessments: Execute comprehensive technical discoveries without supervision, acting as the primary technical eye during the pre-sales process.
- Data Gathering & Analysis: Expertly gather and analyze data from Microsoft 365, firewalls, networks, servers, endpoints, backups, and security tools to build a complete picture of a prospect’s health.
- Partner with Sales Leadership: Confidently join sales calls, demos, and presentations alongside the CRO, serving as the technical voice of authority.
- Translate Technical to Business: Explain complex technical findings to non-technical business leaders, highlighting risks and solutions in a way that drives decision-making.
- Documentation Excellence: Create assessment reports that are clean, accurate, and help build confidence with prospects.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Be a subject matter expert providing mentorship to the sales team regarding technical feasibility and scope.
- MSP Alignment: Utilize your MSP experience to understand the rhythm, tools, and pressures of the environment to propose realistic and profitable solutions.
- Primarily work from the office while traveling onsite within the Atlanta or Phoenix metro area as required for discoveries and presentations.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- MSP Experience: Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider environment is desired; you understand the specific tools and service models we use.
- Education: College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.
- Technical Fluency: Exceptional knowledge of computer hardware, desktop and server operating systems, and cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure).
- Certifications: Microsoft MCSA/MCSE or CCNA desired; willingness for annual renewal/updating of technical certifications.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with common MSP software systems.
- Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning with purpose.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Logistics: Valid Driver’s license and reliable method of transportation.
Benefits & Compensation:
- Benefits: Group medical/dental insurance, paid vacation, holidays, personal & sick time, retirement contribution, and training reimbursement.
- Compensation: Our generous compensation plans are structured as salary plus bonuses, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $120,000 per year.
